A superb action shot of the mating dance! The pin-tailed whydah also occurs in South Africa. We have a pair regularly visiting our bird feeder but the male is quite cheeky, often chasing away some small birds like munias and canaries.

Yes Charlie, it's originally from the South Africa. The male might turn to be more agressive during the mating season.
