I'd have titled this "Competing Crowns" as having lost the central trunk, the two sides are now duking it out for superiority.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

I've been by this tree almost every summer for the past several years. It's majestic (the photo doesn't do it justice). Every time I go there...I wonder if it will still be standing.
