Have you seen the RGB flashlights? There's a guy on Facebook that customs designs them. You can control color spectrum, intensity, and strobe rate. I can't remember the name off hand, or I'd link you to it.

I have! I'd like to get one to put in my bag of light painting supplies. They look great.

Cool, good luck! There are a lot of good tutorials on the light painting brushes site to get inspiration from. Even without their add modifiers you can make your own or generally adopt a lot of the ideas.
