There is a railroad following State Rte 111 in Southern California, along the shore of the Salton Sea. I heard this locomotive wailing from a mile away.

I always carry a Canon superzoom along with my "serious" Pentax cameras (K20, K5, K3, K1 and 645Z).

Nice shot. Like to see UP locomotives. Had UP as a customer for a few years maintaining their call center.

Yes, the train was moving towards me but not very fast.
