Okay I came off of ISO 100. The Histogram is not to the edges on either side so this might have better detail.

In photos like this, I always look at the subject first.
It looks to me that you got plenty of light on him, which it the primary way of getting the colors to show - and they do definitely seem to be there.

A marked improvement already, Ken! Using that ISO 250 and increasing the shutter speed has made a huge difference. Those eyes are lovely and expressive and there's some great tones throughout. A nice portrait.
