Tour of Wine Country
Posted By: JMR, 11-12-2008, 05:08 PM

This morning I went to Niagara (not the falls) hoping to find a long lost park from my memory. The skies were overcast and dull so I decided to look for soft colours and patterns. What did I find: Wine Country! I saved you guys some grapes so you can make the famous and expensive Ice Wine. All you have to do is pick it, crush it and bottle it. Did I mention you can only pick it between -3 to -6 degrees celcius? Bon appetite.

I couldn't resist and converted two images to Orton.

Of course its France, can you see the French haze? We export Ice wine all over the world. Too sweet and rich for my taste.

great series. I am not a big fan of the ice wine either. I'll take a regular cold beer anyday

So now I have an idea of what NAPA country looks like.

Thanks. Really though, you are supposed to drink it like an apperatif or dessert and not like other wines.

I know Napa is in California, so where are your photos from Lowell?

Wow, dreamy touch to them all.

The leaves are really red and richly ripened. The last few are my favorite photographs.

Chateauneuf du pape is a small town, north of avignon france, and during the period of the "black popes" in rome, the other pope lived in avignon france, the chateau where I took the photo is now a ruin, but was the summer home of the pope.

Chateauneuf du pape is one of only two towns in the southern rhone valley that one wine guide called competant when I lived in france many years ago, the other town was Gigondas (which I actually prefer)
