Bare Bones
Posted By: Sailor, 12-09-2020, 09:08 AM

Here in South East Texas, winter prompts the local fauna to go from green to sort of green, primarily owing to the large population of live oaks, magnolias and other stuff that never shed their leaves. Even our deciduous sweet gum is leafless for only a short time; even now - in the middle of December - the tree still retains most of its leaves, although they have devolved to a sickly green.

However, our old elm tree is pretty much bare and looks rather bleak in the morning sun.

I lke the angle you took the photograph. Looks...almost as if you're preparing to shinny up that tree.

But Jer, if you're anything like me, your shinny(ing) days are over.
Glad you liked my angle on this one, Les.

Unfortunately, even though I'm skinny I can't shinny!
