An old "film era" picture I found today. This was my last roll of 35 mm film in December 2016. Winter picture of St Raymond parochial Church with a Minolta X700 and an MD 20 mm f/2.8 WA lens.

Agree with the nice blue sky contrasted with the church.

Was it a roll of Kodak? I remember getting strong blues of Kodak and the strong greens from Fujifilm.

It was a roll of Fujicolor Reala, ISO 100 negative film. Before turning digital, I had been using Minolta SLRs since 1967 and I loved these cameras.

I like the colors, is this with a polarizing filter?

Great image. Miss film especially Kodachrome but digital is a big money saver.

I was trying this new-for-me used Minolta MD 20 mm f/2.8 lens for the first time. I didn't use a polarizer. Winter skies seem a little bit darker because the snow is very bright and exposure has to be decreased by 1 stop to compensate, thus darkening the color of the sky.

The cost of film was staggering, particularly developing and printing. Digital cameras cost more at the time of purchase but you can take as many exposures as you want and keep only the best ones, thus saving money in the long run. A Minolta X700 body cost only 300 $ in 1990 but if you add film costs, finally you can't win.

Thank you for your words of appreciation.

Regards
