Communicating ants
Lens: IRIX 150mm + extension ring Camera: K-1 Photo Location: Backyard in Leipzig ISO: 320 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F2.8

Communicating ants.

Taken with the IRIX 150mm on extension rings - which turned out to not close the aperture. Deep crop (scaled to ~50%) - the ants are about 2.5mm long.

Not quite - they have the usual 12-segmented antannae, rover ants only have 9 segments.
