Looking To the Skies
Lens: HD DA16-85 mm f3.5-5.6 Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Sydney, NSW ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F9

The Sydney Observatory in B&W. This photo is interesting in color, but the sky makes it much more dramatic in B&W.

Perfect sky for the chosen perspective of the building. I had to double check your exposure time, my money would have been on a long exposure

It’s really interesting how bw has given a dramatic look to the photo. A nice angle and I like the foreground. I would love to see some more light on the facade, as mansory needs to be highlighted imho. In this way, that darkened sky would have been much more interesting and complimentary. But I really like the shot.

Thank you! I agree with your comment about the shadows on the masonry. Unfortunately my wife and I were doing a walking tour around the city and that was the lighting at the time.
