Nice ice!
Lens: K135 f2.5 Camera: K-5ll Photo Location: Maine ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

With the temperature dropping from freezing to 6°F/-14C overnight it was a great morning to check out the newly formed ice on the brook.

K5ll with K135 f2.5

Really nice - I like how close to matte the ice gets in these exposures!

Just looking at the photos, I would never have guessed it was ice. Very good

Thank you! The second one is the most common formation. The flower is next. The sheet pattern is more scarce.

I think ice and snowflakes are going to be my new winter project. Might need to get a macro lens...

Cool (ha!) Stuff, I especially like #2 and the shapes.

Thank you Simon. The diffuse light changes the appearance considerably compared to direct sun on ice.

Thank you! I chose the 135 this morning so I could maintain a respectful distance and dry feet. This is all very thin ice. I think the 100 macro would be a good choice.

I recognized ice on the first shot, but the following shots are stunning.

It used to get cold here, but not anymore. I am not saying I am missing it, but it sure helps to get good picture!
