I wouldn’t call the Toronto waterfront exactly “out in the wild”

but I know what you mean. This is about the 6th or 7th year it has come back to winter here, as the lake never freezes and provides a never ending supply of mergansers to feast on. It’s a great spot for it really, close enough to get a photo, far enough away and Undisturbed largely from the end of November until the boats put in again in the spring
