Fall climber
Lens: DA 55-300 PLM @135mm Camera: K-1 Photo Location: Saxon Switzerland ISO: 100
Posted By: Serkevan, 01-15-2021, 06:35 AM

Taken in November while the weather was still good and the lockdown was still an "if". Edited with Exposure X6 (trying out the free trial, I'm liking it quite a lot!), with a Technicolor preset.

The light in the Schrammsteine is always beautiful, and the fall colors of the trees give the image a nice touch, I think.

And, despite vignetting, the 55-300 PLM is still a very good option for hiking on the K-1, lovely lens

Superb image, My Friend, the fall foliage behind the rock formation along with the mist make for a very lovely scene!! The afternoon sunlight hitting the rocks and falling onto the valley are perfect. The vignetting is hardly noticeable.

Beautiful image! I really like the results of your post processing, and I am pleasantly surprised at the almost insignificant amount of vignetting at 135mm with the 55-300 PLM.

Thanks guys! Glad you like the image
The vignetting needed a bit of correction but nothing too serious. I'm not really sure the lens was at 135 and not a touch longer, however, because the vignetting in the middle of the range is normally worse... this feels more like what you'd get at 180mm or so I'd guess, but 135's what the EXIF says so I'm trusting it...
