Lucky? You used a great camera, a great lens, and had your exposure triangle set up for this kind of shot. Much of your 'luck' involved planning and forethought.

By the way, if you could crop this shot to 1200 x 800 pixels, it may post at 100% jpeg quality instead of 85%. My guess is that the shot looks better on your computer monitor than it currently does here on the website. PF applies compression to images above a certain size. The shot looks mighty good as-is though!
