Interesting - another Japan bubble bursted with cables on the ground, etc.

Technically, and I ain't so good myself, it is too yellow(ish) and the light fixture takes the focus away from a more interesting subject - the human.

Nothing can burst your Japan bubble quite so effectively as coming here and actually seeing the place for yourself. Those who wish to take photos of only attractive things here find little use for wide-angle lenses, as photographing only the attractive takes quite a bit of creative cropping.

Very well-done photo. I like it just fine.

The yellowish was something I thought about myself, too.
I didn't alter it in anyway, I just left it be.
Fair opinion with the subject, too.
It's all helpful.

Thanks for the other comments eveyone.

Must admit, being new here, I was a little intimidated about posting pics as the standard is very high.
Glad I got that first one out of the way.

You've already posted Randy's cheeseburger vault. Anything we see after that is going to benefit by comparison.

I like it, the colour cast seems to add to the gritty back alley feeling. I wonder how it would look in B&W though

I really like the mood and exposure, but the composition is not 100% effective, to me. Maybe trying to move to a place where the post to the right would not be as distracting?

Yes, the post does stand out a bit.
I had 2 people in the shot, and standing to the left, which is what I thought of doing, closed the gap in between the 2 of them and didn't look right.
It would have been ok if they were a couple walking side-by-side, I think.

I have a lot to learn, so it's good to get feedback.
Cheers.
