I was out with the big lens & K20D yesterday shooting with a friend at our local urban wildlife refuge. Not a whole lot happening in terms of bird sightings, but we did come across a few Mergansers. I wish I had been using a higher ISO to stop some of the action, but I was a little concerned about potential noise. I did try a few with the 1.4X Tamron TC and they weren't too bad.

4) Pie-billed Grebe (surprisingly good IQ with TC)
