Tiny Spider (Spider, or Insect?)
Lens: Pentax DFA Macro SMC 100mm F2.8 WR - FULL FRAME Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: White Rocks Nature Reserve, Ipswich, QLD ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F14

This whole flower might be the size of a big toe toe nail ( for a person with a big foot!!!). The spider was about half the size of the fingernail of my little finger (I have small hands). Before I focused the shot, I took the spider to be just a discolouration of the petal!!

RETHINK: is it a spider? I can only see 6 legs.

An immature crab spider. I often don't even see them and only notice when cropping and processing photos!
Fun fact: some crab spiders can change colors like chameleons.

Nice photo. Some fly is gonna get a surprise when it tries to nectar on that blossom. I think the other two legs are buried beneath its body, anchoring for its pounce.

What they can look like fully grown:

What an extraordinary makeover! Nice photos here. Interesting info too. Spiders are really something.

Belated thanks, all, for the "Likes", and the comments.
