I shot this little beauty this morning. It was a chilly -11C and the wind was blowing, but this crystal seems to have avoided any collisions on its journey.
I shot it with my inexpensive
Nikon 10X microscope objective, mounted on a Pentax Auto Bellows with 150mm extension and attached to my K3.
The crystal is approx 0.70mm across. Not sure how I managed to get the rainbow effect in the centre, presumably a CA artifact, but I like it.
