My first time to see one of these little guys. It was hanging around with a couple of red-browed finches. I know, the focus is a little soft - but he is so cute!

He is really cute. Being in North America, I've never even seen a picture of one. My wife and I visited Australia in the mid 80s, but did not have the time needed to properly see all the beauty of your country. Would love to revisit. Thanks for sharing.

Good catch. I don't think they are very common around southeast Queensland.

Thanks for viewing, folks, and for the "Likes" - I must get back to this spot while we still have decent rain to see if I can get a better shot. The little pool this guy was enjoying along with a number of other birds had been almost entirely dry for the last 3-4 years!
