Excellent image Larry! It has very good contrast between the strong backlight and shadows of the trees.

We've got plenty of gators around here, so I know to give 'em a wide berth.

Very interesting PP, and it could have easily gone all wrong. But it works very well, because you had the framing right from the outset. The edge treatment only further emphasizes the pathway, which is what should be drawing the person into the image (and the woods).
