Crowded Roost
Lens: DA 55-300 PLM Camera: K5-lls Photo Location: Gilbert Az

Haven’t been happy with using the PLM on my K3ll. So attached it to my K5lls-not supposed to work on this camera. At 300 mm the aperature was fixed at f6.3. Set the shutter speed & ISO to match lighting. The IQ of this shot is far superior to the K3ll. Egret-Cormorant-Spoonbill

Very nice. That Spoonbill has been hard to find.

You have grabbed an interesting diversity of birds in this excellent shot - the pink-tinged spoonbill tops it off nicely.

What a nice crowd!

You are so lucky to be able to see (and capture) this wonderful "collection".

Thanks for the kind comments. You never know what you will encounter at the Riparian Preserve. Seven man made ponds in the middle of the Arizona desert. A real “hidden jewel”

They all seem to be getting along just fine; a lesson for us. Maybe the PLM needs an AF calibration/fine adjustment on the K3II?

Thanks for the suggestion-but has already been done. Just seems like the colors-saturation and overall quality is not nearly as good.
