Cholla Garden at sundown, Joshua Tree Nat'l Park, CALIFORNIA
Lens: DA 12-24 mm f/4 AL Camera: Pentax K3 Photo Location: California Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

Sundown becomes a magical moment in the Cholla Garden of Joshua Tree Nat'l Park when rimlight makes the spines glow around the cacti. Funny there's never anybody around but me to witness this marvelous phenomenon. Pentax K3 + DA 12-24 mm f/4 AL @ 21 mm FL and f/8, focused on the mature plant on the left. No ghosting, no veiling, signs of a superior quality lens.

Very nice and you do not have to be courteous to fellow photographers trying to get a better position, the one you are standing in. Oh, look little babies on the ground, how long to maturity for the little ones. The glowing spine really do make the photograph. Definitely a GOLDEN HOUR photo. TFS Cliff
