Last Saturday the 53rd 7 mile downriver race was held on the Class III Moshannon Creek from Grass Flats, PA to the Rt53 bridge. It's held on the last Saturday in March, regardless of the weather. This year it was 68F and sunny for a change. There were 216 boats entered, which is a record. For the last 3 years I've acted as the "official" photographer for the event, and ended up shooting 970 pics which I edited down to 569. Due to the number, they were only lightly edited, the goal being to get a shot of every boat that went past. Here's just a few....everybody had a blast!

Reminds me of the New River Gorge and Gauley in W.V. - which go up to class 4 and 5 I believe. The Gauley may be class 6 when they let the damn loose.
I have been flipped out of a kayak many times on the New. Only a life jacket saved my life.
I do not desire to go any higher than 3!
