Sundown in the Cholla Garden is the most magic moment of the day. Why am I always the only one to witness it ?

Fantastic! Hopefully not too intimate... those plants can be ferocious!

I was just there week before last and visited the garden in the morning. It’s nice then but I think sunset would have been better but I couldn’t make it work with my schedule.

LOL ! Nonetheless, I was very close using my zoom lens in its wide-angle settings. Tiny "furry balls" have a habit of sticking to your shoes or to your pants legs. It makes me sad to never see anyone else enjoying this spectacular show of beauty. I visited the site almost 10 times over the years and I'm always alone, except in 2019 when bees buzzed around me.

Regards

Richard, this is fantastic, the backlit "halo" of light around the subjects are fascinating. Very cool.

This is an outstanding image Richard! One of my favorites of your desert shots. The backlighting is amazing.

Thank you, all, for your words of appreciation. Covid has kept me away from California and the Southwest in 2020 and the same scenario seems to repeat itself in 2021. So sad I miss these visits ...

Regards, everyone

Beautiful landscape image, with perfect light.

Look on the bright side, it's much easier to process the image when you don't have to stamp out all the other people standing around in your composition

Late to the party, but that is a very well composed and beautifully executed shot. The lighting is very well balanced.
