I spent a lovely afternoon on a hike at Land Between the Lakes. It was close to peak spring wildflower season.

I really like the first image, and the shot looking up at the sky. The fiddleheads are curious - any change of a B&W version?

None of these are orchids. There is a dwarf iris (2) and Jack-in-the-Pulpit (4).

Personally, I think it would be missing something without the bright green of the fiddleheads.

Those are fiddleheads - fern fronds that are still unfurling.

Fiddleheads. Wonderful name befitting of these funky furled fern fronds.
