He had open wounds on his head due to a fight with another crocodile! The other crocodile was found in two pieces!

This was a short conversation between our tour guide and a passenger
Passenger "Why isn't he afraid of us?"
Tour guide "Would you be afraid of a floating container of chicken nuggets?"

Considering 80% of crocodile deaths are caused by other crocodiles, this is likely to be exceedingly accurate!

This is an animal that knows it's above humans in the food chain! I remember watching one of your alligator capture shows and one day they had to move a crocodile in a zoo. All these hard men who would happily jump in a pond to wrestle an alligator were all absolutely Terrified, and with good reason.

Indeed. A few years ago, some people spotted a Nile crocodile <!!!> in a canal very close to my workplace. A Nile! They make our salties look like kittens. Wildlife officers were muttering, "Nah, I'm not going to try to get him, YOU try it..." Nobody had any idea how a Nile croc got into a south Florida drainage canal, although most suspected it had been captive and released by some ne'er-do-well. I think it was captured, eventually. I hope it was. The thought of a Nile croc in the local waterways is too scary to contemplate, I suspect even the local alligators were concerned.
