A Bit of Tension
Lens: Irix 150mm f2.8 Dragonfly Macro Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Boerne, TX ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F5
Posted By: ToddK, 04-25-2021, 03:32 PM

in both the water droplets and the web supporting them. I just bought this new Irix 150mm Dragonfly Macro lens and was out giving it a test run. Unfortunately, I was hesitant to spend a lot of time shooting with it, because it showed up, brand new in a sealed box, without the hood. I am waiting for B&H to confirm that they will get Irix to send me the missing hood, or if I will need to send it back and exchange it for another lens. Don't ask me how Irix managed to leave it out...

I like this! It reminds me of a picture I took a few years ago. I like that kind of composition.

I love this! I had never heard of this Dragonfly lens before, but it sure produces the goods in macro.

Thanks bdery! I thought that the rocks would make a very good background which they did.

Thank you Dennis! There is an In-Depth Review and some User Reviews on PF. Also, you can see more photos in a thread in the Lens Sample Photos section.

Great image but a hood-less lens is not the handiest .

Thanks pichaser! Fortunately B&H was able to get Irix to send me a hood several days later.
