A Bit of Tension
Posted By: ToddK, 04-25-2021, 03:32 PM

in both the water droplets and the web supporting them. I just bought this new Irix 150mm Dragonfly Macro lens and was out giving it a test run. Unfortunately, I was hesitant to spend a lot of time shooting with it, because it showed up, brand new in a sealed box, without the hood. I am waiting for B&H to confirm that they will get Irix to send me the missing hood, or if I will need to send it back and exchange it for another lens. Don't ask me how Irix managed to leave it out...

Thanks chessov! It is a spider web that was spanning between some rocks on the ground right after a rain.

nice work, love seeing abstract macro shots. I try to nail them myself when I'm out but I haven't had much luck

Thanks pkboy! Sometimes I just stumble into interesting shots like this one. I was photographing wildflowers, and the reflection of this tiny web caught my eye.

I don't know how I missed this shot when it was posted. It remains an outstanding capture of water beads on a spider web.
