Great shot, Dennis. I haven't seen a steam locomotive operate in decades; two in tandem is very cool!

I really like this shot Dennis! They are a couple of terrific looking locomotives and nice to seem them working hard.

The composition is really good on this. Just wide enough to make me feel I'm a passenger on the train while also getting a great sense of the location. Oddly comforting, for some reason

I also agree. - You were on the train yourself, Dennis, weren't you?

That looks way too close to the edge. Great shot.

I usually say that sound and smell are the best bits of steam locomotives, but in this cases I'll admit a picture is every bit as good!

Thanks for sharing, made my day.

What is most interesting is that you are not the only one hanging your head out the window, but the only head attached to a camera (not just the only head attached to a Pentax camera). It is a great picture and reminds me of when my dad took us on a steam locomotive train, which I think was in the Black Hills of South Dakota about 56-years ago.

What a fantastic shot! So rare we see good photos of trains like this these days. The curve of the tracks makes this very pleasant to view as well, great timing!

You have to be on the train to get this shot. Something that I have not seen before.
