Great shot. Now go back early on a Sunday morning, shoot the same shot, then get rid of the cars in Photoshop!

Agree. Wouldn't take much and would remove the distraction from a very nice shot. Well done.

Agree - without the modern cars the image would have a more timeless quality. Nice combination of smoke and steam giving the locomotive life.

I totally agree - would be so much better without the cars in the background. I am not really a fan of too much image manipulation (probably also because my Photoshop skills need more development)

Great photograph! May I ask how you managed to get the cartoony / artisty look of the cars and the train thats out of focus? Is it a post processing technique?

Yes, I did some post processing in Lightroom in an attempt to reduce the visual impact of the cars in the background. I can't remember exactly what i did, but it probably included reducing contrast, clarity and sharpness
