People Fishing in Dili

Early morning in Dili but already hot, a fisherman tries his luck. Late today he and others will be by the roadside hoping to sell his catch, perhaps to embassy staff. The embassies have nearly all the prime land down by the sea.

Looks like a film shot from a travel magazine or maybe National Geographic in the '80s. Well done.

that's true re the film look, thanks for pointing it out - probably due to a bit of haze, possibly from fires somewhere. This was taken in November, on the brink of the wet season. By then Timor is tinder dry and oppressively hot.
