Did you run or play dead after firing the shutter? Clearly whatever you did worked since you were able to post the photo later. I sometimes wonder how many park rangers developed the film from tourists that got a bit too close...

Thanks all - it certainly did see me, as mere fractions of a second later, it turned and fled into the forest

Can be a little tricky sometimes to focus beyond a tangled mess like that. Nice job.

Very well done Robert! As Dave said, these kinds of shots are not easy to get in focus and you nailed it.

Thanks - and manual focus is great for these kind of shots - no AF system to get mixed up, just relying on eyes
