Strawberry fields forever!
Camera: KP
Posted By: newmikey, 05-02-2021, 04:03 AM

The strawberry has been done by so many people before and I'm just a beginner in the field of ultra-macro and stacking but I thought I'd offer up my near-abstract of a wet strawberry.

I used a KP on a manual (Nisi) macrorail. The Tamron 90mm macro (version 172E) was mounted on a Kenko 25mm extension tube and that combo was then mounten on a Kenko MC7 2x converter. I stacked 17 exposures and then cropped to about 50% of the image to get a regular and abstracted almost rhythmic image. A highpass filter in Gimp accentuated a bit of sharpness.

That’s a different look on the subject. I like your lighting result. The macro also gives some perspective on the fruit. Well done

Yummy, nature is wonderful and I'm off to the fridge now. Good shot, macro is not something I do but I see it takes some technique to get it right, as in this case.

The most common things look "ALIEN" when photographed in ultra macro mode.
