Very nice capture there young man. I need to say that if the subject was in all the way, that is one very sharp lens. Good job sir.

excellent sharpness and detail which is difficult to get on a very dark subject like these wonderful creatures. IMHO, the foreground could be cropped a bit otherwise a fine image

Nice sharp, clear image with good detail. No apparent noise at this resolution (ISO 1600 may be pushing it a little). Agree that a foreground crop would improve the image further.

I just want to run up and hug them ... they are so cute....
But seriously, a bit of cropping would help. Otherwise well executed.

Thanks all - the A 400 is a fair lens there... cropping, a bit was done already, but you have to be careful with that at this ISO... the K-50 really doesn't handle cropping with 1600, or you'll end up with a very noisy shot...

I'd level it, but that's about it. Even at 400 that's close for bears in my opinion haha.

Nice shot! You made me get interested in an old 400mm. I will have a look in the marketplace

Not super close here - roughly 50 metres.

Well, odd that, as this is a prime lens

The A 400/5.6 is highly recommended by myself
