After visiting Petrified Forest Nat'l Park, you can access a campground 2 exits west of the National Park, Homolovi State Park, a nice, quiet place north of Interstate-40.

The atmosphere is quite dry in the Southwest and it is full of dust picked up by the wind. This dust creates the wonderful colors we see almost each evening.

Very nice. I like the way it grades from deep indigo and blue colours at the top, to the red and yellow of the sunset itself.
