Sometimes, after reviewing a set of pics you have just taken, you wonder why you even bothered to get out of bed that day!!!
Here I was, with 3 cute little Superb Fairy Wrens barely 4-5 metres away, all together in one of my bird baths. I have the KP armed with the 150-450mm lens sitting ready on my tripod just inside my lounge room door, perfectly positioned to catch the action.

And I leave the damn lens at the 150mm setting!!!! I mean, ..............DUH!!!

Then almost every shot doesn't quite get there, focus-wise!!!

And I didn't get the lens level with the horizontal for a single shot, and had to fine rotate all of them!!


So I offer this little series, not as a pleased photographer, but as one bird lover to (hopefully) whichever bird lovers among you might at least enjoy the fun these little feathered friends seem to be having.

Lovely photos. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. So many have gotten away that could have been great shots. But, you managed to get some very nice ones there. Thanks for sharing your photos, and your struggles.

These are very enjoyable images to view showing the birds' interactions. It is just a part of bird photography for those of us that do it.
