Piercings and tattoos are part of mainstream culture now for anyone under 40. Surely you had parents criticize you for your music/fashion/hair choices.

Yep... as a GenXer I hover in that horrible place between snowflake Millennials and OK, Boomer. So Morrissey and The Smiths, not so much Sex Pistols or Enya ;-)

Maybe if the nose stud was in focus I'd find it less objectionable - just looks like a blob.
