Thanks, much appreciated! It was a little of both, I saw the man about to cross the alley up ahead and I (being across the street), quickly caught up and positioned myself.

Thanks! I wanted to take full advantage of that lens wide open, even though there were a few street lights, overall it wasn't a particularly well-lit area. The definition was still pretty good at f/1.2!
