what lens did you use on these scott-deven, if it's ok I ask? May be the new one I get instead of that 500mm I've been eyeing. Love the clarity in both ; almost like I can touch the needles in the 2nd one.

Thanks for all the replies, I was out yesterday and shot everything with the Sigma 50-500 including these two shots. I think a porcupine had been at this tree and the way the sunlight hit it really caught my eye. I'll post more as I sort through them, the "bigma" really is capable of many different styles of shooting, although it is an awful handful to carry around. I tend to have it on more than any other lens in hopes of getting some wildlife shots, but with the cold weather here I wasn't fortunate enough to get any and instead shot whatever caught my eye.
