Can you share the story here? Farming at the edge of an industrial area?

I would think the neighbors would be a little nervous.

Heard from the locals that some part of this area used to be forrest once. Now not.

What I see is - mostly farm lands , but now slowly getting surrounded by the developing housing societies and high rise apartment buildings.

I see farmers here, in this state, burns the paddy straw or the stubble after the harvesting is done - to fertilize the land.

And it is quite interesting to watch though this practice is harmful for the environment.

It happens so quickly that I never got a chance to get close and photograph it.

About this particular evening - even though it was not so close but I was able to capture the flames because it was windy that evening.

Thank you for your interest.

It happens everywhere in this area, so I think people got used to it.

Yeah it is unhealthy, pollute air and damage the environment as well. But for the farmers the ash works as fertilizer.
