Timorese celebrate Portugal winning Euro · **1 Like**

Football and elections will often prompt celebrations and flag-flying. During the small hours of the morning many had been gathered around televisions watching Portugal beat France in Euro 2016. The parade of various motorbikes, trucks, minibuses and taxis brought Dili to a standstill. Portugal were the former colonial power here.
