Here,s a couple from my garden. This one, the plant, will be split-up soon and more will grow. This was grown from lilies that my mother tookfrom his garden in 1977.

If you still have the opportunity - its still in bloom? - try setting up a tripod and levelling the camera. Maybe get closer to crop out the background, and go with a shallower depth of field, focusing precisely on the stamen of the flower. Adjust the white balance in camera for a "white" fence.

Thanks for the great advice, I will take it it is most welcome, the plants came from my grandfather's garden seemed to have left that out of the above post.
