Posted By: robjmitchell, 05-14-2021, 05:48 PM

I was brought an adventure cruise for Christmas at Wilson's promontory, which I finally managed to go on last weekend. Here are some photos!

I really like the one of the birds on the rock. It has a nice simplicity that appeals to me.

Only problem was the midday sun made it tricky when your shooting from the south.

Oh wow I had to look up where this was (south south eastern tip of Australia, for anyone wondering)

Great set of photos, I like the bob of seals splashing in the water

Wow! Beautiful place and photos. Thanks pkboy - I was also wondering where in the world Wilsons promontory is located.

Amazing photos!

I also really enjoy Photo No. 5 — there's a really nice pattern of repetition created by the penguins, if that is indeed what they are.

Thanks for sharing!

They are black-faced cormorants, our little penguins hide in burrows and only come into shore at night!

Wow that's so cool. I've never seen those things in person (the animals).

Oh, I see.

Thanks for clarifying—I'm a bit of a bird buff, so I appreciate the correction!
