A rare opportunity
Lens: DFA 150-450 Camera: k-3 II Photo Location: socal

This killdeer is calmer than most. The usual head bobbing was subdued long enough to make a photo easier .

Nice, sharp shot. The 150-450 always seems to deliver (in the right hands).

Most of my photos aren't keepers but mainly because of operator error . Your comments are appreciated .

Very nice capture! Killdeer don't typically give you that kind of a pose. I have quite a few around my area, but they always have their backs to me running or flying away.

I see killdeer near shorelines here and like you said they don't pose willingly . Thanks for the comment .
