Went to a local zoo a couple weeks ago, bringing only my 100mm macro lens to force myself out out my comfort zone and see if I'd want to even keep it (I was looking at selling some off to fund other things). I was rather impressed with it as a general purpose lens and will be keeping it after all, even though I don't do actual macro work. I loved the peacocks, but got some other nice ones as well. I had a lot that I couldn't keep, but I'll have to practice more with it.

When my wife saw it, it reminded her of a story one of her friends had recounted. They had taken a family trip to a zoo, and she asked her son what his favorite animal was. Let's just say if she had known it would be a freaking squirrel, they would've saved the money and went to a park instead! Lol
