Horse with no name
Posted By: JMR, 11-24-2008, 09:39 PM

Some of you may recall a song by the Eagles called "Horse with no name." I could not resist that title for this image. It had just rained which brings to mind the other line in the song, "it felt so good to be out of the rain."

A different and beautiful shot JMR.

Twasn't the Eagles, though. It was America. One of my favorite songs back 30 plus years ago.

It was written by Dewey Bunnell, who still tours with America the last I heard. Anyone know if he's related to Ned???
Your right of course, I mixed them up. venturea Highway was another song from them. Kansas was another similar group that I mix up between the three of them.

And thanks for the comments.

Exactly! Only the one horn is missing from the forehead of that nearly unicorn creature!
He lost his horn after missing his journey on the ark..."a long time ago when the earth was being born..." - the Irish Rovers from Canada.

"Look. It's Nowhere Matt. Purveryor of music. Help us Nowhere Matt."

Confused with the artists America, Eagles and Kansas? Not this time evil Dr. MP3!

Thanks, I think, Nowhere Matt. But obviously you must be somewhere. I will remember you next time I have a question about song lyrics.

I really like it. Very surrealistic. And I love the saturated colors. Maybe it's the horse Dylan rode in this tune

"I'm gonna grow my hair down to my feet so strange
So I look like a walking mountain range
And I'm gonna ride into Omaha on a horse
Out to the country club and the golf course.
Carry the New York Times, shoot a few holes, blow their minds"

Bob Dylan "I shall be Free No. 10"

NaCl(not sure it looks like Omaha tho)H2O

Thanks. Yes, Dylan is like a wild and lone horse always trying to lead the others of the corral.
