Lovely series Georg! I like the first and last most. In first one the horse is nicely "hidden" and fits in the scenery and in last the snowy trees create nice contrast.

Georg,

They are beautiful pictures and a good example of why I am so fond of winter.

Great shots Georg and nice PP - nothing like fresh snow and trees.

Nice shots Georg, I think I like the middle one the best, but all are nice. Looking forward to winter here.

Thanks Dave, it was rather dark, all these are taken with f/2.8 but the snow magically adds light to the scene, PP was needed just to boost the colours slightly.

Beautiful sight Georg. Makes me think about 'The Chronicles of Narnia'.

Very nice photos Georg, our first snowfall melted but it won't be long before it is here to stay for the season.

Thanks Gary, I can see the Narnia in these too now that you mention it, in real life this from the Central park in Helsinki, large enough though to loose sight to any man made structures.

Thanks Heinrich! This snow is also on its way of melting away, but I hope we will get more permanent snow later.

Really cold it seems.

I like the last shot as the image leaves a space for foreground with the branches well positioned and not as distrating as I would have expected.

The overall image is rather graceful and gentle. The snow is rendered as it is soft like sugar pulp.
