Loyal Site Supporter Join Date: Oct 2018 Location: Quebec City, Quebec Original Poster | I mounted the K3 + DA 18-135 mm ED WR on my tripod and tried various scenes at f/8, f/11 and f/16. My copy performs the best @ f/11, so I literally "glued" my seting at f/11 since. This aperture gives the most "uniform sharpness" over the entire photogram, my most important parameter in landscape photography. Excellent lenses like the FA* 300 mm f/4.5, the DFA* 70-200 mm f/2.8, the DA* 60-250 mm f/4 or the DA* 50-135 mm f/2.8 will peak earlier, like f/6.3 or f/8. My P67 M* 300 mm f/4 peaks @ f/8, proof of a highly-corrected medium-format optic. My 645 33-55 mm f/4.5 produces totally similar images between f/11 and f/22, sharpness-wise. Regards @ f/11 |
