The Eastern Green Lizard (Lacerta viridis) is one of the rarest animals in Germany and especially in late spring each year one of the most beautiful animals to find here. Normally you can not come close to them, but I had luck one day:

Beautiful, multi coloured. I'll have to check this little beastie out , in terms of what it does, how it lives.
