Some odds and ends.....
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 11-25-2008, 09:43 PM

.........from Ontario

I had posted some images of Raleigh Falls at the beginning of my trip, took this one on the return trip. There was a lot less water and the leaves were turning.

Just a roadside picture, I don't know whether it has a name or not. About an hour north of Sault St. Marie on highway 17.

High Falls near Wawa.

When I saw this hopper on a bench in Pukaskwa National Park I sort of looked twice

Than he jumped onto a rock and it did make sense. Sorry, this one is not sharp but but you get what I mean.

Sometimes one does get a bonus, without the train there would not have been a picture

And a little cute guy

All with K10D and various lenses.

Comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Very nice odds and ends

But I love that Grasshopper on the rock... wow that natures camo at its finest.

Something about the curving train shot speaks to me too...

Lovely endings and nice odds

... I like them all, but like others the train catches my attention most ...

Heinrich Lohmann,
Very nice shots. I like the waterfall and train the best, BUT, lerv the camo of the grasshopper sir. Wish I could morph like that.

I also think the train is the most appealing shot, Heinrich. Another nice series to look at.

Nice shots Heinrich - I like the falls with the two people in the background that really gives you sense of size (initially I thought it was a brook). That grasshopper is well disguised for sure. Well done.

Great series Heinrich, that grasshopper has amazing camouflage. The container train really makes that shot stand out.

Nice shots. I'm with Gilligan, the gray grasshopper stands out for me.

Hi Dave and thank you. Would be nice to photograph that fall in spring run-off condition.

Hi JMR and thank you. Wish that I would have had more time with that grasshopper and get a sharp image out of it but he disappeared as fast as he appeared.

Take care,
